![]() ![]() Our goal for this year is to roll out and improve the modding experience on PC before we begin evaluating how we would, should we choose to, bring that to consoles. Although there is progress on the PC front, 343 admits that they have no plans to bring mods to the console versions of Halo: MCC. And the team is currently hard at work expanding the mod support from other titles, notably Halo 2 Vista. Since early this month, turns out 343 has started a beta test for Halo Custom Edition maps to be loaded into the PC release of Halo: MCC. And this month it might’ve made a breakthrough. Nevertheless, 343 has repeatedly said that official mod support is coming to Halo: MCC. Modders basically have to brute-force new textures, assets, and even gameplay overhauls into the game. While adventurous Halo fans have made and published their own Halo: MCC mods since the release of Halo: Reach on PC, the feature is still not officially supported by 343 Industries either on PC or consoles. ![]()
